This is the third and last in a three part article series about G96 Products Inc. If you have not read the first two articles, I encourage you to read them: here and here.

In the previous articles, I wrote about all of the gun oils, cleaners, and greases that G96 Products makes. In this final article I will be talking about the various bluing agents that are produced by G96.

G96 Products has, among their many products, very effective bluing agents. Their bluing agent is used by a wide range of people and groups, from recreational and competitive shooters to law enforcement and military units. It comes in three different forms that can all be used to great effect.

First is the Gun Blue Liquid. It is a liquid that can be used as needed, brushed on to the required area. It provides a rich bluing that does not discolor, fade, or rub off. It is best to thoroughly clean the surface with a degreaser and then treat the area with a quality gun oil after the bluing has taken hold. There is also a solid creme and the Gun Blue Stick. The creme is a solid form of the bluing agent that is better suited to bluing larger areas. The Gun Blue Stick is very similar to a stain removal pen. It is very good for small touch-ups and scratches.

One of the reasons that the G96 bluing agents work so well is that it is not a lacquer, paint, or coating. The bluing agent chemically reacts with the surface of the metal to truly blue the metal, not leave a coating on the surface of the metal. This is one of the reasons that this bluing does not discolor, chip, or rub off. This results in a superior, longer lasting bluing of the firearm.

While I have not yet had many occasions that have required the use of G96 Products bluing agent, it has performed very effectively the few times that I have needed to use it. I particularly like the Gun Blue Stick. It is compact, quick and easy to use, either at home or on the range. While the solid creme and the liquid can be used for small touch-ups, they are better suited for larger projects and restorations.

I have found that the G96 Products bluing agents are highly effective and long lasting. There is a Gun Blue Stick in my range bag and I have a bottle of the liquid at home in my cleaning kit. I have been very pleased with the results every time I have used it. If you are a gunsmith, planning a large restoration project, or just have a firearm or two that could use a touch-up, I would recommend looking into the bluing agents made by G96 Products Inc.
