SA has a long and storied history in the firearms industry, including use in both the military and civilian markets. One of SA’s newer and most well-known product lines is the XD pistol line. Last year, Voodoo Tactical made noteworthy changes to their Mini Tobago Backpack. The changes include a different color style, new color patterns, and a new MOLLE platform. Overall, the new look is a definite improvement while keeping a high level of functionality.

This past winter and spring I did a lot of traveling and testing of equipment and firearms. One of the more recent pistols I have tested is the FMK 9C1 G2. It is a compact 9mm pistol platform manufactured in California. FMK also manufactures the 40C1 G2, which is chambered in .40S&W. However, the focus of this article is the 9C1 G2.

Tru-Spec has made some impressive clothing over the years. The 24-7 Series in particular has enjoyed a large success with active and retired military, LEO personnel, and civilians. For this article, we will be focusing on the pants. The durable, lightweight fabric, practical feel, multitude of pockets and knee pad pockets made them popular very quickly upon their release. The choice between two fabrics also helped their popularity, giving more options to people depending where they lived or worked. The 24-7 Series Original pants were tough enough to hold up to military and LEO abuse, but where flexible and comfortable enough to interest civilians in buying them as well. However, the Xpedition pants, newest addition to the 24-7 line, is definitely giving the original a run for its money.
SCCY CPX-2 9mm
The SCCY (Pronounced Sky) brand is a newcomer to the firearms scene having started from scratch in 2003. Some would argue the relatively young company lacks the pedigree and experience of a 100 year-old gun maker, and the experience gained through those years. The other side of that argument is that a younger company is not saddled with 100 years of old equipment, old processes, and 100 years of customer expectations.

When asked to review the FNH FNS .40 I was so excited I yawned and considered a nap instead. Double-stack, plastic-framed, double-action-only handguns are so common right now I could not, at first, find the excitement. Looking closer, however, the FNS series includes some new features making it worth a look.
